Become a Member

The 2008 Membership Year starts on April 1, 2008. Membership applications are now available!

CDABC is recognized as the one organization that represents the interests of the profession in British Columbia. The association provides leadership, unity, advocacy for the profession, and is the clearinghouse for information about the profession.

There are three levels of membership: Active, Student, and Associate.  Membership is available to registered certified dental assistants (Active), certified dental assisting students (Students), and to any person with a sincere interest in the mission and objectives of the CDABC (Associate). Please click here for membership application forms.

What's In It for Me?

CDABC disseminates
information and conducts research on behalf of CDAs to keep members  informed about trends in the profession in British Columbia and Canada. CDABC is a corporate member of the Canadian Dental Assistants' Association (CDAA) which means that CDABC members have access to CDAA benefits.

What sort of trends are occurring in the profession? Are there enough CDAs available for work to fill the positions available now and into the future?  What skills will CDAs of the future need?  What is a fair a reasonable expectation for wages and benefits where you live? Are dental employers in compliance with employment standards?  If not, what should be done to change that?  Is self-regulation in our future? How do we achieve it?

Without  a strong and united association, you will not have answers to these and other important questions about your profession. Without your membership, the CDABC cannot continue to work towards bettering our profession.

The CDABC frequently conducts member surveys to learn  what the membership wants from their professional association. If there is something that you believe would be of value to CDAs in British Columbia, we want to hear from you.
