Dental assistants, as well as other health professionals, have an ethical obligation to inform their patients about the hazards of tobacco use and to encourage tobacco users to stop. This course describes the physical effects of tobacco use and the nature of nicotine addiction. Also teaches dental professionals skills to help tobacco users become free of their addiction.
