At less than $30 per year, you can afford coverage too. In some provinces, malpractice insurance is a mandatory part of licencing, which indicates how important coverage is. Although it is not mandatory in British Columbia, the CDABC highly recommends that CDAs in British Columbia purchase the insurance.
