Member Services & RewardsCDABC and CDAA
Note: If you select a sub heading, such as Uniform and Career Wear, you will not be able to access that membership benefit unless you are a member and login.
CDABC membership gives you access to valuable services designed specifically for BC CDAs. Membership fees fund all the association's activities, including:
-
12 free continuing education credits included per membership year! Cost-effective, high-quality, and convenient. CDABC membership gives Active and Associate members access to our own library of free CE courses. And if that isn't enough, we have the most comprehensive listings of CDA-specific courses across BC--an effortless way to meet your regulatory requirements. And it's guaranteed.
-
Employment research on the CDA profession in BC CDABC conducts the largest survey in BC to find out how the employment climate changes over time. We report to the membership rates of pay based on experience, location, modules, employer's age and more. We find out how long it now takes to find a position, how many people are entering the profession, and how many are leaving, plus a lot more important information to educate the membership so that they can make informed decisions. The survey is conducted every two years.
-
Educating Future Employers Every year CDABC sends graduating dentists from UBC a guide to office personnel focused on the benefits of hiring certified dental assistants, and educate them on the benefits of retaining long-term, loyal staff. This important advocacy will guide your future employers to create a healthy office dynamic based on trust, respect, and loyalty.
-
Constantly updated job postings Take advantage of our career board, updated daily for your benefit (over 100 positions at any given time). Work smart by having your employment conditions and benefits in writing, using the CDA employment contract, designed specifically for CDAs. Read articles written explicitly for your profession on negotiating a raise, and performance reviews. Learn what your peers are earning in the comprehensive, region-specific guide to CDA wages and the CDA employment climate in British Columbia.
-
Professional insurance. Your dentist carries insurance, and despite what some may say, you should too. Practice with confidence and security with malpractice insurance offered by the Canadian Dental Assistants’ Association (CDAA). One year of coverage is less than $30/year!
-
Stay current on what is happening with your profession. News from British Columbia and across Canada: the Certified News (1 page monthly e-newsletter delivered to your email inbox), Certified Bytes (email communication between the News), and CDAA Journal (CDAA newsletter) are your key to staying current.
-
