Call for CDABC President-Elect Nominations

Tuesday, June 13, 2017

Calling all members!

CDABC currently does not have a President Elect! The President Elect is the person who will be the next president of the CDABC. At the end of March 2018, Chelsie Trask-Soltesz's term as president will be coming to an end and there is no one in line to take her place. Your board is seeking nominations for someone to take on the position of President Elect.

This is a valuable and rewarding role that provides a fantastic opportunity to contribute to your profession, including participation in the Pacific Dental Conference, the Annual General Meeting, and important initiatives to protect and advance the role of CDAs in British Columbia.

The role will involve 6-10 hours of involvement per month, with most meetings held by teleconference.

No previous board experience is required. We have position manuals as well as mentoring available to help support directors in their duties. Board meetings are held via teleconference and there is usually one or two in-person meetings in the Lower Mainland each year. Persons on the board must have access to internet and email 3-4 times per week.

Characteristics and qualifications:

  • Active CDABC member in good standing (minimum 1 year)
  • Keen interest in the profession and association
  • Ability to exercise good judgment, act with integrity and in good faith in CDABC's best interests
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Willingness to learn and commit the time to be effective
  • Strong communication skills.

If you are interested and would like a nomination package or for more information, please contact the office at info@cdabc.org. We would be happy to discuss the role further with you.

Chelsie Trask-Soltesz, President
