It takes a strong team to run a successful dental practice! Dental Assisting Recognition Week celebrates Certified Dental Assistants’ contributions to their team of dental professionals.
This year, show appreciation by gifting your CDA with membership in the Certified Dental Assistants of BC!
CDABC is the professional association and voice for Certified Dental Assistants in BC. Membership helps CDAs to recognise and grow their own professional practice, build skills, and reinforce respect for their responsibilities to the public.
Why would CDA membership be a GREAT way to recognize your certified staff?
Continuing Education Courses
Membership includes 12 credits to ‘spend’ on continuing education events provided by CDABC. Members can redeem their tokens for regulator pre-approved continuing education courses on current topics in dental assisting, such as infection prevention and control, substance use in patients, medical emergencies, COVID-19 best practices, and more.
Our programming allows CDAs to learn new skills on their own time, from the comfort of their homes. Live classes are delivered in the evenings by webinar and teleconference. We also provide a library of self-study courses. In November 2020, CDAs from all around BC attended our first virtual Annual CE Day – on a Saturday! – featuring experts from Canada and the US.
Member Discounts
CDABC members are eligible (at no additional cost) to enjoy Perkopolis, our product, travel and service discount partner, and also receive a discount card for scrubs at any Mark’s Work Warehouse.
Professional Liability Insurance
CDABC members also enjoy exclusive access to our professional liability insurance policy, an important safeguard in these increasingly litigious times – for less than $30 per year.
Your investment: The Bottom Line
A year’s membership costs $131.25 which includes applicable taxes, and our valuable liability insurance policy is $27.30 each year. This small investment can bring great returns to both your CDA and your practice.
Why is membership a benefit for the dental office?
For offices in more remote parts of our province, it can be very difficult for staff to obtain their required CE credits and maintain their certified status. Our courses are presented via online webinar in the evenings, accessible from the comfort of one's own home. For staff who need more educational hours, we have an online library of courses eligible for self-study credits.
Membership in a professional association helps CDAs to recognize and maintain their own professionalism, and respect their responsibilities to the public.
As a thank you from CDABC, we offer participating dental offices free job postings on our website, should you ever need to add to your staff.
A year’s membership costs $125.00, plus applicable taxes per member – about $13.00 per credit hour availability.

Thank you for considering the gift of CDABC membership this National Dental Assisting Week!
