College of Dental Surgeons Annual Report 2013/14

Friday, June 6, 2014

The College of Dental Surgeons of BC's annual report has now been published. The report describes the College's work and activities from March 1, 2013 to February 28, 2014.

One item of note for CDAs is that those assisting in moderate sedation will now be required to hold current Dental Anaesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination (DAANCE), Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Anaesthesia Assistants Program (OMAAP), or such other training approved by CDSBC.

Another point of interest is that females continue to dominate our profession – there are 5,844 female CDAs in British Columbia, compared to only 33 males. Read the full report here.
