Great News For All Certified Dental Assistants!
CDABC and our members, the Certified Dental Assistants of BC, congratulate and celebrate the Canadian Dental Assistants Association (CDAA) on upgrading the National Occupational Classification (NOC) of dental assisting!
This is a profound victory for us all in recognizing and clarifying the advanced practice of dental assistants in Canada. The new National Occupational Classification is important to all regulated dental assistants across Canada. It means that regulated dental assistants' contribution to dentistry is recognized! The classification of RDAs and CDA's hard work moves from one of unskilled labour to the highly skilled and well educated dental professionals we are!
The CDAA's commitment to advancing the profession and developing the professional practice of dental assistants across Canada has been extraordinary! All of us at CDABC share our sincere thanks and appreciation for the important work that the Canadian Dental Assistants Association conducts on behalf of our profession and on behalf of every single dental assistant in Canada.
We would like to thank the CDAA Board of Directors for their leadership, the many volunteers for their dedicated service, Ms. Stephanie Mullen-Kavanagh, the talented Executive Director for her guidance, and Ms. Dianne Henning, the Board of Directors President for her determination and collaboration with everyone involved!
The future of our profession is vastly improved because of the commitment and hard work of our peers!
Together, Certified Dental Assistants can advance, develop and promote the profession, the membership, and the organizations.
Stay safe and well,
The Board of Directors, Volunteers, and Staff at SSU
