Represent CDAs and take on a new challenge by volunteering to host a Pacific Dental Conference (PDC) speaker! Becoming a Host provides a perfect opportunity for you to communicate with experts and engaging speakers in the dental field.
Hosting is a rewarding experience with some perks! If you host a speaker, your PDC registration fee will be refunded following the conference.
What exactly does a Host do?
Hosts are the liaisons between the Pacific Dental Conference and the speakers and have the prime responsibility to ensure their stay is a positive experience. Duties of a host include:
- introducing your speaker at the presentation
- accompanying your speaker to breakfast or lunch in the Speaker’s Lounge
|
- monitoring the presentation
- thanking the speaker at the end of their presentation
|
A full Host Package is sent to you well in advance of the conference with detailed information on the duties of a Host.
In addition to this, the Pacific Dental Conference holds a Host Wine & Cheese Reception just prior to the conference where you will have the opportunity to meet other Hosts, have a tour of the Vancouver Convention Centre and receive a verbal overview of the tasks ahead of you.
