ORCCA (Oral Care for Children and Adolescents) is a non-profit charity established in Sidney to provide oral care for children and adolescents under 19 from low income families. Eligibility for dental care with ORCCA includes being part of the BC Healthy Kids program, the NIHB program for first nations children and adolescents and families with a household income of less than 40,000 a year and no dental insurance. They provide basic dental care as well as cleanings, and a few special cases receive orthodontic treatment by their volunteer orthodontist Dr. Rosang.
ORCCA are currently looking for volunteer dentists, specialists, dental assistants and hygienists to help run their clinic. They are open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from about 8am-5pm depending on volunteer schedules. Please consider volunteering for this very worthy cause by getting in touch with the clinic.
