Are you interested in helping out at one of Special Olympics' largest health screening events ever? Volunteers are needed for the Special Smiles oral health program, taking place at the Special Olympics National Summer Games at the UBC campus July 9-12th 2014. BC is poised to welcome many of the registered 1,200 athletes with intellectual disabilities to the Special Smiles health program at the summer games.
The Special Smiles program provides complementary dental screenings, boil n’ bite mouthguards, fluoride varnish applications, individualized personal oral hygiene instruction, and recommended oral care products to participating Special Olympics athletes.
