Dear CDSBC registrants,

Northern Health Authority is inviting oral health care providers who have not yet received their first dose of vaccine to book vaccination appointments. Details on how to book an appointment are provided below.  

We are distributing this update today on behalf of Northern Health. The COVID-19 immunization roll out is being led by the provincial government and B.C.’s individual health authorities. If you have questions about the vaccines or the provincial immunization plan, visit gov.bc.ca.

The Ministry of Health has identified dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienists, denturists, dental technicians and their office staff as health care professionals providing direct patient care in acute and community health care settings (including home care) that are now eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 2 of BC’s COVID-19 Immunization Plan in March-April.

To book an immunization appointment, phone the Northern Health Call Centre at 1-250-645-8900, Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm. Let the Call Centre staff know that you are a Direct Care Provider so that they can identify you as eligible for the vaccine. You will be booked into a clinic in your community when one is available. Clinics do not run continuously in all northern BC communities.

If you are in Prince George, please start phoning for an appointment after Tuesday, March 23, as Northern Health is putting additional clinics in place in PG to accommodate the demand.
